An old but sturdy and still very active shipyard with a long history which dates as far back as 1750. Spakenburg Shipyard is inspired by the beautiful Botterwerf graving dock, located in the Dutch village of, you guessed it, Spakenburg. In addition to the already existing sheds, slipways, and other architectural details, I’ve taken the creative liberty of furthering the already massive location by adding a street market, a small park, and a fictitious commemorative statue. I hope to have captured and respected the beauty and history of this incredible place.
